From Fantasy Book Critic and Cheryl Morgan, I got the news that Sam Jordison is running the Not The Booker contest for The Guardian.
The long list, announced Tuesday, can be read below. There are 46 books, and we have to vote in order to reduce them to a short list of 6. Only one vote each person. You won´t fail to notice SF and other Fantastic Lit books on the list like The City and the City (China Miéville), Spirit (Gwyneth Jones), The Quiet War (Paul McAuley), Best Served Cold (Joe Abercrombie). Cheryl also recommend John the Revelator (Peter Murphy), and Liviu does the same with Stone's Fall (Iain Pears). I read Miévile, McAuley, Abercrombie, and Pears, and recommend them without thinking twice.
